Custom guided canoe trips
are for anyone who loves the outdoors! Custom canoe trips are introductory
to advanced level, and run in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. A custom canoe
trip is a fantastic way to rediscover the wilderness of Canada. Great
Canadian canoe trips are easily arranged for your adult group, everything
included. Trip programs
vary in length and can be as short as four days for a canoe trip, with
a minimum group size of three.
Flatwater
canoe trip ideas
If you have a group ready to go, you can select your own kind of PaddleFoot
adventure. Some of the most beautiful and remote areas in eastern Canada
are only a few paddle and portages away!
Flatwater canoe trips are for folks who want the calm and tranquility
of canoeing on wilderness lakes. You can explore the wilds of Quebec at
Parc LaVerendryé, including
traditional hunting and fishing grounds of Canada's first peoples.
Compared to Algonquin, you will easily find solitude in your own out-of-the-way
spaces at LaVerendryé.
Closer
to Montreal is Parc Papineau-Labelle
with a multitude of attractions from playing in waterfalls to sunning
on crystal beach to climbing the fire tower lookout to try and spot the
rare Bald Eagle. Parc Papineau-Labelle is a prime location for those not
willing to travel far from Montreal or Ottawa areas.
In Eastern Ontario, you can wander the ancient Pine forests of Temagami.
These forests are again in danger of disappearing to logging, so if you
can, experience them before they are gone. There are some protected waterways
in the Temagami canoe area, we recommend
Algonquin Park is called the "Crown Jewel"
of Ontario Parks, and with good reason. The experience of Algonquin's
treasured Barron canyon, the colourful history of Canoe Lake, the
mysterious story of Tom Thomson, and haunting call of the wolf in moonlight
paint one of the enduring wilderness pictures in Canadian history.
On
Georgian Bay, the turquoise and emerald lakes of Killarney lie
nestled like jewels amid the crystalline LaCloche Range. Each campsite
in this park seems to outdo the next in beauty and charm. While the park
draws a large number of visitors each summer, booking in advance will
guarantee your campsite is waiting each night.
You can book your group for a canoe trip to these or almost any location
you can suggest. Prices for these trips vary depending on location and
length of canoe trip. Shuttles to and from most locations can be arranged.
