Experiential Education Programs

Wilderness Experience 3-8 Day Programs
PaddleFoot outdoor and environmental education programs are based on experiential learning and communication. Each four to eight day program operates from a base-camp facility within one of Canada’s majestic provincial parks. Activities and journal writing sessions are debriefed in small groups. Each day safely guides students beyond their physical and social comfort zones, introducing them to new cultural landscapes and new concepts with a program to challenge the head, heart and hands.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND SCHEDULES ARE DEVELOPED BEFOREHAND IN CONJUNCTION WITH SCHOOL FACULTY MEMBERS TO CATER TO EACH SCHOOL’S CURRICULUM. A WIDE VARIETY OF EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS COMPLEMENT ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL ENGLISH, ART, PHYS-ED, GEOGRAPHY, SCIENCE, AND BIOLOGY PROGRAMS. THE PaddleFoot PROGRAM DRAWS TOGETHER CLASSROOM CURRICULUM AND THE EXPERIENCE OF THE REAL WORLD. A WIDE VARIETY OF MULTIDISCIPLINARY ACTIVITIES FACILITATES PARTICIPATION. KNOWLEDGEABLE FACILITATORS GUIDE STUDENTS THROUGH THE PROCESS LEADING TO RESPECTFUL AND OPEN COMMUNICATION WITH EACH OTHER, WITH THEMSELVES, AND WITH THE EARTH
