Day 1:
Our shuttles dropped us off at Lac d'Originale. We camped the first night at our drop-off point.

Day 2: Our adventure begins.
We headed out, but took a wrong turn and ended up heading upstream in a South West Direction. When we came across a loggers building road and some loggers who pointed out our error and we went on our way back to Lac d'Originale. After debriefing the day with the group we set up camp and settled in for our second night.

Day 3-4:
We headed out to the top of Lac Dumoine and set up camp. We were upset to see that the campsite was very dirty! (full of garbage!)

Day 5:
Today we made our way down to the bottom of Lac Dumoine and had a good day of paddling as we had major headwinds! We set up camp for the night and enjoyed a well-earned rest.

Day 6:
Our goal for the day was to get to Alligator Point, however when we arrived there, someone was already camped there so we continued on to Lac Manitou………..and found someone camped there also!!! So off we went again and camped on Skeeter Point, near an old cabin. Despite the extra paddling, it was an enjoyable day on the river!

Day 7:
Today we headed off to Lac Benoit and managed to pin a boat on a whitewater section! The canoe was not damaged and freed! We made it to our campsite and enjoyed an evening at Lac Benoit.

Day 8:
Met "Rinks" in the morning, challenged us to beat them to little steel and we did! Ha! Ha!
We had a great day of white water and camped at Little Steel.

Day 9:
We paddled the lower half of Little Steel Falls, and a camper boat went over! No injuries except for a bruised bum and egos! We set up camp for the evening and discovered that our campsite was not a very sheltered one as we experienced very strong winds that evening!

Day 10:
The race to Red Pine. Today we had a "secret covert op". We sent Rachael and Dave (guides) left our campsite at 5:30am to snag Red Pine campsite and they were successful!!! Our team was very efficient over the Grand Chute portage.

Day 11:
Duff Day. A fun day for swimming in the rapids and relaxing round the campsite. A GREAT day!

Day 12:
The day started out wet! A camper boat swamped and they had an early morning swim down Lower Red Pine Rapids! Once again only minor bumps and bruises! The rest of the day went really well, with no more unexpected swims!! We had planned to camp at the mouth of the river, however when we got to the site and saw that it was not that nice, we decided to paddle over to a campsite at Driftwood and enjoy our final evening on the river.

Day 13:
Pick-up Day. The van arrived at 10am as planned, however Jess and Dave are left as vagabonds with the canoes and gear. A fun afternoon of Riverboarding and having lunch with the other trips was a great way to end our trip!
